Facebook Vanity URLs Coming This Weekend

On Saturday, June 13, you’ll be able to choose a username on a first-come, first-serve basis for your profile and the Facebook Pages that you administer by visiting www.facebook.com/username.
Users will only be permitted to select one username for their profiles, as well as for any Pages they administer. The name must total at least five characters and can only include alphanumeric characters, a period or full stop. Non-Romanized characters are not currently supported.
Once it’s been selected, you won’t be able to change or transfer it.
Facebook pages with vanity URLs are especially valuable to businesses, many of whom would likely be willing to pay significant chunks of money for the rights to a good vanity URL.
