Redding resident Jack Vale is reaping the rewards of his invention “The Pooter.” The hand held creation makes the same sound as a whoopie cushion in a smaller form that you can fit in your palm. He calls it “The Pooter.”

Vale says “People letting gas is quite hilarious in my opinion. I think most people think it’s funny.”

You can find Vale’s hand-held whoopie cushions in “As Seen on TV” stores. They run $9.95. Gene Haaheim, the store manager in Redding says they’re a gas. “It’s one of our best items. People come in and stand for hours watching the TV and laughing and they bring their friends in. It’s really a very successful item.”

Now Vale is taking his Pooter to new levels. He and his family are leaving the North State for Southern California. He’ll take part in a new gag TV show on MTV. Vale says “There’s going to be Pooter segments based on the product. And I’m just going to walk around and just get reactions from people.”

The product itself will soon expand to other store chains. Vale also appears on NBC’s “Most Outrageous Moments.” He’s posted some of his videos on Youtube.
